BLR
Browning's BLR is a lever-action rifle made in collaboration with the Japanese company Miroku Firearms. This firearm comes in many different variations and is chambered for numerous calibres from small rounds like .243 Win to big Magnums—like 458 Win Mag.
The BLR uses a magazine that is removable from the rifle. For this reason in the BLR you can use all types of ammunition and not limited to a flat nose style of ammunition that is used in the traditional tube feed lever action rifles. The gear-and-piston design of the lever and bolt can handle the increased pressures found in modern magnum rounds. A notable feature of Browning’s design is that the trigger moves with the lever when it is operated, which prevents a pinching injury—a common occurrence in traditional designs.
Browning BLR Lightweight ’81 Takedown Features
Built for the rigours of hunting in harsh conditions, the BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless is designed to handle whatever you throw at it. With features that make it easy to use and reliable, this rifle is a great choice if you're looking for a firearm that can keep up with your needs in a range of environments.
- RECEIVER - is made of aircraft-grade alloy and has a satin nickel finish.
- BARREL - is made of steel with a satin stainless finish.
- ACTION - is a lever action with a rotating bolt, detachable box magazine, and grey laminate hardwood stock. It also features TRUGLO/Marbles fibre optic sight and recoil pad.
Barrel
In this BLR Takedown model, the barrel is factory drilled and tapped for an optional forward-mounted scope base—so you can remove the barrel when it’s time to store or transport your rifle without losing your zero. It comes with a precision matte stainless steel barrel, a lightweight aluminium receiver that's satin nickel finished—and it holds detachable box magazines. The grey laminate forearm and stock have a straight grip.
Takedown
This lever-action rifle has a rack and pinion design, which allows it to break down quickly into two pieces. The takedown model’s unique design allows you to quickly separate the rifle into two parts and then easily snap it back together, making storage or transportation of your rifle much easier. This is a great feature for anyone who wants to take their rifle on the go but doesn’t want to deal with the hassle of having to disassemble it first.
Optic
The TRUGLO/Marbles fibre-optic front sight allows you to draw a fine bead in low light conditions, which is what modern lever-action hunting rifles should be. The rear sight can be adjusted for windage and elevation.
